Yes. The file is opened and converted by JavaScript running in your browser tab. There is no upload endpoint for chat files at all — our server only handles the $9 payment. You can load the page, turn on airplane mode, and still preview your chat. The only network requests during PDF generation are for open-source font files from a public CDN, which contain no information about you.

WhatsApp chat exports from iPhone and Android (.txt, or the .zip you get when you export with media), Telegram Desktop’s result.json, and Instagram or Facebook Messenger message_1.json files from Meta’s ‘Download your information’ tool in JSON format. Dates in any common layout are handled, including 12- and 24-hour clocks and day-first or month-first dates.

Yes — that’s a core feature. The PDF embeds Noto fonts for each script it finds in your chat (Devanagari, Gurmukhi, Gujarati, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Arabic/Urdu, Hebrew, Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Korean) plus Noto Emoji, so mixed-language messages render properly instead of as empty boxes. Emoji are printed in black and white.

We can’t promise that — every court, tribunal and visa office sets its own rules, and this is not legal advice. What the PDF does is present the conversation the way reviewers generally prefer: complete, chronological, with sender names, exact timestamps, page numbers and a record of how it was produced, including the SHA-256 fingerprint of the original export. Check your court’s rules or the current checklist for your visa, and ask your lawyer or representative if you have one.

Every Case Pass PDF gets a certificate ID (CTE-XXXX-XXXX) and a QR code. Anyone can open chattoevidence.com/verify and drop the PDF: the file is fingerprinted in their browser and the registry confirms it is byte-for-byte the PDF that was generated, on what date, with how many messages and from which source-file fingerprint. The registry stores only hashes and counts — never the messages or names — and the source-file SHA-256 on the certificate page still allows offline checking against your original export.

Yes. On iPhone, export the chat from WhatsApp, choose ‘Save to Files’, then tap ‘Choose file’ here and pick the zip. On Android, export to your Downloads folder or Google Drive (download it to the phone first). Very large chats with thousands of photos are easier on a computer.
