What the service is

Chat to Evidence is a document-formatting tool. It converts chat export files into PDF transcripts inside your web browser. It is not a law firm, it does not provide legal advice, and it does not guarantee that any court, tribunal, government office or employer will accept a document you create with it. Requirements differ by jurisdiction and change over time; you are responsible for checking them.

Free preview and Case Pass

The free preview lets you convert the first 100 messages of a chat with a watermark. The Case Pass is a one-time purchase of USD 9 (plus any applicable taxes) that unlocks the full feature set for one year in the browser it was bought on, with a restore link for other devices. It is a licence for personal use, or use by a single professional on behalf of their clients. Sharing the restore link publicly, reselling it or automating access is not allowed.

Refunds

If the tool does not produce a usable PDF for your chat, email hello@chattoevidence.com within 14 days of purchase and we will refund you. Please try the free preview first; it uses the same engine, so what works in the preview will work in the full export.

Your content

Your chat files are processed locally and never transmitted to us, so we make no claim to them and cannot access them. You are responsible for having the right to use the messages you convert, and for complying with any privacy laws that apply to the other participants in the conversation.

Accuracy

The tool reproduces what is in the export file. Export files can be incomplete (for example, WhatsApp exports only the most recent messages when media is included, and deleted messages are not recoverable). Dates can be ambiguous in some locales; the tool lets you choose the date order and shows a warning when it had to guess. Check the preview before relying on the PDF.

Limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid for the Case Pass. We are not liable for indirect losses, including the outcome of any application, claim or proceeding.
