How to print WhatsApp messages

WhatsApp has no print button. Screenshots work for a few messages, but for anything longer you get dozens of cropped images with missing dates. The cleaner route is to export the chat and turn it into a PDF.

Print a whole conversation

Export the chat from your phone: iPhone or Android. Choose Without Media unless you need the photos.
Open Chat to Evidence on your computer or phone and drop in the exported .txt or .zip.
Check the preview, then download the PDF.
Print the PDF like any document. Every page shows the date, time and sender for each message, plus page numbers.

Why not screenshots?

Dates only appear on some screenshots, so the timeline is hard to follow on paper.
Long chats turn into dozens of images that are easy to shuffle or lose.
Screenshots can be cropped selectively, which the other side in a dispute may challenge.

Printing a few messages only

If you only need a handful of messages, screenshots are fine. For a date range out of a long chat, export the full chat and use the date filter (included with a Case Pass) so the printout covers just the period you need.

Can I print WhatsApp messages from WhatsApp Web?

You can print the browser page, but it only includes the messages currently loaded on screen and often breaks the layout. Exporting the chat gives you the full conversation in order.

Will photos and voice notes be printed?

Photos can be included if you export with media and use a Case Pass. Voice notes and videos appear as labelled placeholders.

Is it free?
